Artisan hands shaping molten brass in a traditional workshop

Our Story

रसमय — Saturated with Feeling

Where It Began

A belief that every gift should become a feeling.

RASMAYA was born from a simple frustration: in a world flooded with mass-produced gifting, there was nothing that truly carried weight — not just physical weight, but emotional, energetic, spiritual weight.

We partnered with a family of master artisans from Central India whose craft has been passed down for seven generations. Their workshop still uses the same lost-wax process described in ancient Vedic texts. We simply brought their work to the people who needed it most.

Our name, RASMAYA (रसमय), means “saturated with feeling.” It is a Sanskrit word that captures exactly what we are building — objects so full of intention that the feeling transfers to whoever receives them.

From Raw Metal to Sacred Object

How Every Piece Is Made

01

Cast

Lost-wax casting in 100% pure brass. Each mould is hand-packed with precision, then poured at controlled temperature.

02

Finish

Antique hand-burnishing by master craftsmen. The warm golden-brown patina is achieved purely by hand — no chemicals.

03

Agni Seal™

Our proprietary heat-curing process locks in the surface at the molecular level. Won't peel, chip, or fade.

04

Inspect

Final quality inspection paired with Vedic mantras chanted over each piece — the Abhimantrit ritual that completes the journey.

I started RASMAYA because I couldn't find a gift worthy of my grandmother's blessing ceremony. Everything felt hollow. So I went looking for what had endured in India for three thousand years — and I found brass. I found artisans. I found a meaning that no price tag could diminish. That is what we are sharing with you.
